What Is a Reiki Share or Reiki Healing Circle?
Reiki Shares are gatherings where Reiki is offered and received by all who participate. The intention is to share Reiki for healing, and some call it a “Healing Circle”.
All are welcome to attend–there is no need to be Reiki attuned. Come to observe, to receive, to offer, or to simply meet some new people in a supportive community.
Reiki practitioners of any level or lineage are welcome!
Reiki-curious and skeptics welcomed also. Experience Reiki for the first time, or just ask all the questions you have.
There is never an obligation to pay, although donations are gratefully accepted to help defray any costs of facility rental. All are invited to receive; all services are offered FREE to attendees.
Attending the Chico Reiki Shares
These shares meet twice monthly at Amy’s massage studio space in the Chico Massage Studio. Space is limited to about 5 attendees – so please do RSVP by registering below.
As these shares grow, a larger space will be found.
The share will start with informal introductions, requests, and questions for the night–allowing folks to find the location and get settled without time pressure. At about 6pm, treatment sessions and sharing of Reiki will begin. We close at about 7 pm or as attendees desire.
A donation bowl is available to contributors – no obligation.
Attending Online Reiki Shares
We share distance Reiki twice a month via Zoom. This allows us to gather virtually from anywhere without travel. Registration is required, it is automatic and can even be done once the share has begun.
These shares take place on Thursdays (2nd and 4th) from 5:30 – 7 pm pacific time. We begin with flexible time to gather and set intentions, then offer Reiki in small groups from about 6 to 6:45 with a short debrief and closure.
A donation link will be shared via QR code for those able to contribute a donation. All proceeds go to Whole Self Unity, an online 501c3 dedicated to offering integrative therapies to those in need. Specifically, we will fund Reiki Scholarships for students who wish to learn Reiki but may be unable to pay for a class at this time.
Frequently Asked Questions
I could use Reiki but can't afford to book right now. Is it okay to come to a Reiki Share?
Reiki Shares are a community service offered to any who attend. Practitioners come to offer Reiki to all who want to receive. This gives practitioners a chance to practice, and community members a chance to receive. No payment is expected. Shares can be a great way to receive when you are in need.
I learned Reiki somewhere else, will I be welcome?
Absolutely! Everyone is always welcome! We may have some questions, such as what level you have completed and your lineage (who taught you). This is so practitioners can be put into teams to work on recipients in a way that is balanced and supportive. Beginners and more advanced practitioners will work together side by side. We might ask about lineage so we can keep the discussions general and applicable to all attendees. In other words, we want to know if you are trained in a different lineage than our own so that we keep the discussions welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
Reiki classes have been great, but I need a place to practice. Should I come to Reiki Share?
Reiki Shares are so helpful to new practitioners! You get to try out the techniques from class, even if you aren’t ready to practice on others or open your own business. There are always more experienced practitioners present, so if you have questions or feel uncertain there will be plenty of support on hand!
It might be time to book a session, but I don't know anyone in the area. Could I meet someone at Reiki Share?
Networking is a great reason to come to a Reiki Share. If you are new to the area, or just want to branch out, you will meet others who share your interests. It can be a great place to meet other practitioners, set up trades, or book an appointment with the person who is supposed to be helping you with your current challenge. There is no competition with Reiki–and it is always okay to book with someone who is not your host!
My skepticism about Reiki and energy work is bigger than my belief, but I am curious. Will I be welcome?
