With a deep commitment to hands-on Reiki healing and teaching as a Reiki Master Teacher, I’m passionate about sharing Reiki with students and clients both in Chico and online. Below, explore my personal philosophy and meet my service dog, who supports our healing sessions.
You are the healer; I’m here to facilitate your healing goals. Informed consent and permission are central to the healing or Reiki process, just as important as the treatment itself. You’re always safe in my space, and all work stops immediately if you revoke consent.
I use tools that align body, heart, mind, and spirit. Most clients only need one or two modalities, and together, we’ll select the right tools for your unique needs and preferences.
My practice is science-positive and skeptic-friendly—I welcome questions, evidence, and the scientific process. Skeptics are some of my favorite clients because their curiosity brings deeper conversations. Clear, honest communication is essential for every modality, with ongoing consent being our foundation.
I also follow strict hygiene and disease prevention protocols to keep everyone safe, always following advice from medical professionals. The pandemic reinforced how important it is to have clear communal expectations. By sharing space—whether together or separately—we commit to informed consent, ensuring everyone is empowered to make the best choices for their health.
Amy’s service dog, Rila is a constant companion–present during all sessions and classes. She’s also a certified Reiki Master, bringing her calming presence to every healing experience.
Her favorite part of the day is greeting and comforting clients. If you’re truly special, she might roll over and invite belly scratches! While we know not everyone is a dog person, Amy’s service dog is well-trained and adapts to each client’s energy, offering gentle support for those who need it most.
Rila has even alerted diabetic clients to check their blood sugar, though she’s not trained for this. She’s especially attuned to babies, elders, and those with health conditions, and her presence offers love and protection.
We understand her presence may be uncomfortable for some, but we are a package deal. If you’re hesitant, we invite you to discuss how we can make your experience more comfortable.
